My First Post
Hello Bloggerland.
This may seem silly, but this is my birthday present to myself. I don't always feel like I have a lot of time, and I probably should not use my time this way. But I enjoy reading other people's blogs so much that I thought I would start my own.
It is my quest for this blog to be a positive place. I have a tendency to complain a lot, and so I will try to keep this blog upbeat. Since I think most of you know how much I love the midwest.... And hopefully it will give me a place to share with you all of the blessings that God has given me and remind myself of those too. :)
If you are wondering I will probably not ever post pictures of my kid (soon to be kids) here, but I hope to link another password protected site to this so that if you actually know me I can share photos with you. I realize that may be a little overprotective, but oh well.
Someone asked today how it feels to be 26, and honestly I didn't know what to say. I don't feel different. And maybe it is just because kid #2 is almost here, but birthdays for me just aren't the way they used to be. No big hoopla, no big rush, it's just nice to hear from the people you love. So far the best part of my day is that Elizabeth has sung me "happy birthday" 3 times. I am sure I will hear it again. What warmth that little voice brings to my heart.
Thanks for reading this, and sharing in my life.
