Rejoice!!

Thank you all for your prayers and love. Let me start by apologizing for not updating earlier. I didn't have Internet access at home yesterday, and it wasn't the kind of day to head out for wireless somewhere.

Caleb's surgery went really well, and he came through great. He had a pretty rough day yesterday, but by the end of the day was much better. Today he has been back to his normal happy self! (Other than diaper changes and the like...) PRAISE THE LORD!!!! Yesterday was draining, but was once again a testament to the love and faithfulness of our God! We have about a week of recovery, but if things keep going well it should go really well. Thanks again for your prayers and love.

As I was sitting in the waiting room I found Psalm 116, and I adapted it here. I invite you to read these words and praise the Lord for his faithfulness to us and to you.

I love the LORD, for he heard my voice;

he heard my cry for mercy.

Because he turned his ear to me,

I will call on him as long as I live.

I was overcome by trouble and sorrow.

Then I called on the name of the LORD:

"O LORD, save me!"

The LORD is gracious and righteous;

our God is full of compassion.

The LORD protects the simplehearted;

when I was in great need,

he saved me.

Be at rest one more, O my soul,

for the LORD has been good to you.

For you, O LORD,

have delivered my soul from death,

my eyes from tears,

my feet from stumbling,

that I may walk before the Lord in the land of the living.

How can I repay the LORD for all his goodness to me?

I will lift up the cup of salvation

and call on the name of the LORD.

I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people.

O LORD, truly I am your servant.
