The progression of a shiner...

Well, Caleb got his first black eye last week. Elizabeth accidentally knocked a book off of the ottoman and right onto Caleb's face. He's my little tough guy and usually doesn't cry about being hurt, but he screamed about this one. (Which was promptly echoed by the wailings of his guilt-ridden big sister.) It actually didn't turn out as bad as I expected (probably because he did actually let me hold ice on it for a few minutes). But here you go pictures of his first (but I'm sure not last) black eye.

Due to my hesitation of posting my kids photos on the net you'll notice the pics are extemely close up. :)

I don't go see movies at the theater a whole lot. I like to see movies, but I can wait until they come out on DVD. Besides we don't have to get a sitter that way. :)

This week I have to talk about movies. We were blessed to go on a double date with some great friends this weekend. The guys decided we should go see Transformers. Honestly, I was not very excited. But, I LOVED it!! It was a great movie. It had plot, action, and was even funny. About halfway through I looked at Justin and said "I didn't want to see this, but I am loving it." Anyway, I highly recommend it.

This week or weekend I will also be seeing a movie. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix comes out this week!!! I am SO excited. We love the Harry Potter movies. If Justin can go with me we will see it on Wednesday, if not we will definitely see it this weekend. I am also excited because that means I get to read another Harry Potter book. I didn't start reading the books until after I had seen the first three movies. I love the movies so much I don't want to be disappointed with them, so I wait to read the books until after I see the movies.

Either way I recommend either of these movies! Happy viewing?

What are your plans for this weekend?

My Boy

8 months...

Some moments I can't believe it's been that long, and others I can't believe it's only been that long.

Caleb just turned 8 months old. He is growing before my eyes. He isn't crawling yet, but he can scoot himself across the floor on his back by digging in his heels. And if you sit him on the wood floor, he can wiggle his bottom just enough to scoot several feet. We are working on his newest trick- giving five. He's getting pretty good.

No teeth have appeared yet, although I've thought he has been working on them forever. He is still the chubby and happy baby he's always been. Everyone here seems to comment on the size of his cheeks, and how big and blue his eyes are.

I am so blessed to have this beautiful baby, and his wonderful big sister. I love you my little boy!
